I’m Rebecca, but I prefer Becca or Beck. I’m a wife, mom of three children, and somehow also in charge of two dogs who have absolutely no respect for personal space. I survive on an abundance of coffee, lack of sleep, lots of laughs, and whatever snacks I can find before someone else eats them.

I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember, mostly because I like that there’s always something new to make, notice, or chase. Good light? I’m there. A weird creative idea that probably shouldn’t work but somehow does? Even better. A family session where the toddler refuses to cooperate and the dog is trying to escape? Honestly, that’s my kind of challenge.

I like photos that feel like real life. The good stuff, the messy stuff, the weird stuff, and all the little moments that you probably didn’t think were worth photographing at the time. Because those are usually the things you end up remembering.

I have degrees in Visual Communications, Photography, and General Studies, so yes, I actually went to school for this. But some of the most important things I’ve learned have come from working with people.

Over the years, I’ve worked with children and adults of all abilities, and that taught me pretty quickly that there is no one-size-fits-all way to make someone feel comfortable in front of a camera. You don’t have to know how to pose. You don’t have to be naturally comfortable in photos. You don’t have to sit still if sitting still makes you want to scream! We can figure it out.

I’m also happy to adapt to accessibility or sensory needs to the best of my abilities. If there’s something that will make your session easier, more comfortable, or just make more sense for you, tell me. We’ll work with it.

Fall is my season through and through. Crisp mornings, crunchy leaves, pumpkin everything, and an unreasonable amount of excitement over Halloween. Chilly air? Love it. Hoodies? Obviously. Spooky or spiced? I’m all in.

Haunted houses? Absolutely. Horror movies? Always. Supernatural? Favorite show. I’ll happily watch the scary stuff, but I’m not exactly volunteering to investigate the creepy noise coming from the basement.

And yes, there will probably be coffee involved somewhere along the way.
